I have two new short stories published in the 2011 Florida Writers Association Collection #3, Let's Talk.
This year, all submissions to the contest had to bewritten in dialogue only, with no attributions, or tags. Writing this way is harder than it sounds. I had fun with the exercise, though I have no idea why both of the stories I entered dealt with death. I never know where my "muse" is going to take me. "Storm Clouds" and "The Perfect Ending" are entirely fictitious. I am pleased that both stories were selected for the collection. Here is the website for ordering the book: Let's Talk at Barnes & Noble or at Amazon. There are some great stories, and good writers, included in the collection.
I was out of town for the FWA Conference this year, so I missed meeting W. Bruce Cameron, the author of renown for the compilation. I enjoy his work, so that would have been a treat. Here's hoping for similar results next year. The theme is Wheels: Details for 2012.
Now, I'm off to prepare for NaNoWriMo I hope you join me! The fun begins.
